South Mountain Tower Changes
Information uploaded 01-01-2005

In 2004, the 80 ft tower used by DNR on South Mountain took on a new look with the addition of sixty feet at the top. The top section of the original tower was replaced with a newly engineered section to accomodate three additional 20 foot tower sections. The additional sections on the 140 foot tower are currently being used to support the KAYO-FM 99.3 MHz antenna. The KAYO antenna is fed by a forty-one thousand watt broadcast transmitter.
